More popular that ever article submission.
Recently the most talked about form of internet marketing is to write articles and post them on free content websites. So in theory you compose a article then place a link to your website at the bottom and then lazy webmasters put it on their websites rather tahn producing the content themself. So you get the greatly sort after one way relevant links, and you also get you website plugged on another website.
Which all sounds great what with everyone saying that standard rec linking no longer works.
I'm am still to be convinced, that this really is the way forward. Writing article to promote your business in my humble opinion requires a lot of skill.
For example think about aquiring inbound links to help you in the search engines. What about the duplicate filter? Well, because because the same article is offered to anyone who wants it it will alway be limited by the duplication filter, so even if your article gets published on 100 websites, the search engines are only going to give you credit for one and they might not even use your link.
So thiers a fairly high chance you won't get any links back at all.
But the article themselves may bring traffic to your site, I hear you say! Well sometimes. To persuade site to publish your articles they have to be done in a certain way. The reason why people don't get many article published is because they are adverts not articles, they just write article selling their product or service. Webmaster rarely want to put these adverts on their site for free. For the site to want to publish your article it has to be entertaining or informative. However if you write a article that primary function is to give useful information or to entertain, then if probable won't be that effective to draw people to your website.
Usually webmasters publish article to make their site better rather than to send people away.
I predict 4 months down the line, most people will be bored of article submission after getting next to no results.
